Weekend Away-ing

Hello hello!

So this is a VERY belated post... but there's been lots going on and I've not been finding time to sit down and write...! However, here we are with a little post about our family trip away to a small village called Ewhurst Green near Bodium. We actually stayed in a lovely Airbnb with beautiful views over podium castle.

When we arrived we got ourselves settled and then walked down the road to the local pub to have a drink which was lovely.

The following day we walked from the cottage to Bodium Castle, with some picturesque spot off points along the way.

Laura, James, Dad and I went inside the castle and Mum and Shep hung outside watching the world go by.

After our explore around the castle and in the castle second hand book shop we headed back to the cottage and spent some time there for the rest of the day. We puzzled, sewed, read and played games through the evening.

On our last day we went to Rye and had a stroll around the town admiring the beautiful houses!

 We also took a trip into merchant and mills, a really lovely fabric shop where I could have spent a lot of money...

It was just such a lovely weekend out of everyday life. Time to get away and take a bit of a breather!
