Goodbye 2021
Good Evening!
Wow what a year it has been. I've just spent some time looking back over these posts that it turns out I've done for the last few years! It's mad to see how much has happened and changed during that time.
2021 has been another year of uncertainty and honestly it feels to me like it has FLOWN by. I can't believe I'm here reflecting back on the year already!
I'm feeling very lucky as the end of our year was much better than 2020 and we were able to safety get together on Christmas Day which was so special... of course with the newest addition to our little family!!
Let's get on with it... a whizz through 2021:
We started the year celebrating all things Spring, including the very special arrival of baby Elsie. What a lovely sprinkle of joy she was to our lives and Jude is such a scummy big brother.
James and I then welcomed a little member to our family too... our Border Collie puppy! Shep is so loveable and enjoys all of the cuddles. She is still very much a puppy and is working on recall... she is very good at wait, sit, stand, lie down, paw, spin and we're recently working on weave!
I also went with the lovely Liv and the rest of the wedding party to see their BEAUTIFUL wedding venue. I get butterflies in my tummy thinking about how wonderful this day is going to be. We can now say you're getting married NEXT YEAR.... say whhaaaat.
We had a VERY special trip to Petworth park where we saw our beautiful friends get engaged and it was just so lovely. Although I did feel very nervous about getting the shot! We can't wait to see Pete and Charlotte get wed this. year!
Onto the Summer...
Taking all of the pictures in Mayfield lavender field with these two little ones.
Celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary.
Going on a fab holiday with this mad bunch where we swam, ate, camped and explored. And potentially put Finely through the most traumatising bucket bath.
I went to a sunflower field with friends and picked up some beautiful flowers for the house!
I picked up my sewing game and got stitching! I might do a separate post of my makes so far and what I've learnt along the way! This gingham dress is one of my makes which I wore to James' parents wedding anniversary party!
We ended the summer with more fun and adventures with pals, and of course cuddles from the newest little pal.
I had such a lovely birthday with friends despite feeling poorly earlier on in the day. We went paddle boarding which is something I've wanted to do for a long time and it was so much fun!
Moving into Autumn we enjoyed muddle walks with Sheppy girl and I had fun organising my sewing patterns.
James and I also enjoyed a lovely little trip away to the Witterings. It was great to get away and have some time away from the business of the everyday!
In October half term I went with Liv, Lauren and Natalie to hunt for bridesmaid dresses and we found just the perfect dresses, eek!
We also had the JOY of celebrating this beautiful boy's 1st birthday. As if you are now over a whole year old! The face on this boy when he was given his birthday cake was just something else!
Then celebrated our annual Christmas extravaganza with these pals!
Then Christmas for us was just lovely, and I feel very lucky that we can say that as I know for some Christmas was not how it should be. For us this could be the last Christmas we celebrate in this lovely little home of ours so we have loved spending time together in this funny in-between-y stage between Christmas and New Year.
I'm sure there are moments that I've missed but I think these pictures some the year up quite nicely!
Wishing you all a belated merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Goodbye 2021 and hello 2022. Let's see what new adventures this next year brings!
Emily xx
