Can you believe we are THIS close to January... honestly where has this year gone. My next couple of blog posts are going to be looking at the year gone by and looking forward at the year to come. For now though, I wanted to look back over December. Every year I film weekly videos through December so if you've missed those then I'll link them below. But here are a few of my favourite memories through this month!
No December is complete without a muddy puddle jumping walk with this pal, and his mummy of course. It's so special that Jude has learnt our names now, although he does recognise any blonde person, be it a picture or model in a shop, to be 'EM!'. Jude loves to find stones and sticks to throw into the water, and a great duck feeder too. Will forever love exploring with these friends.
James and I found our beaut Christmas tree at Doves Barn Nurseries, and its probably on the bigger side for the space we have... but as we couldn't invite visitors in this Christmas time we figured the space can be filled by the tree instead! Also some lovely friends of our bought us the most beautiful build your own. It was so neatly packed and so easy to make too. Was such a lovely gift and such a special surprise!
Like most people in the UK much of this Christmas was spent indoors watching films and staying cosy. However, we made use of being able to meet up in groups of 6 in tier 2 for more muddy walks!
We were also able to meet up with pals around fire pits in the garden, enjoying mulled wine and mince pies. I'm hoping next year we don't have to stay outside though...
Despite Covid restrictions, our church carol services were so special as always! I loved singing with this bunch, and can't wait til we're allowed to sing as a congregation in church again altogether.
We spent Christmas Day with the Hamiltons as mum and dad were both poorly. We took a meal round to Dad and managed to do some zoom calls during the day though!
As I said in one of my videos, it's important to try and find the good bits of life amongst the chaos, and by continuing to film this year I think I've achieved that! Here's hoping that next year I can hug my friends again though. That'll be nice.
