Easter.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I hope you've had a good week so far, and for those still working it's nearly the weekend, hooray!


I just wanted to do a quick post this week to share my memories from Easter this year into one place. I'm not sure we'll have another Easter like it! It was lovely to have a bit of time leading up to Easter to do some making and baking and to have to time to press into what Easter means for me.

A friend and I decided we'd try as much as we could to make a wreath for each season of the year, this first one proved to be fairly tricky as we were at home! I tried to use as much as I could with what I could find at home. The weekend before we got some gardening done outside and cleaned up the ivy that grows around our door. I decided to hold onto some of the better growth to make the base of this wreath. It worked pretty well although by the time it hung on the door it was starting to look a little sorry for itself! My mum, the queen of seasonal decorating, had some extra eggs she wasn't using so she kindly left them on her doorstep for me whilst we were out on our grocery run! I used florist tape and wire to attach the greenery and the little eggs onto the wreath itself. Although quite simple, I was happy with how it turned out considering the circumstances!

As with the rest of the world we're missing our friends and family lots! So we definitely had to make some time to catch up over the Easter period. Not all captured in this picture but we've enjoyed catching up with people virtually lots! 

On Easter morning I set the table for breakfast and put some of our sweet treats out for us to snack on. Inspired by a friend of ours I decided to do an early morning delivery of some of these treats to our local friends! I had the new Bethel album playing (If you haven't listened to it it's definitely a must!) and made my way around doing doorstep deliveries. It was lovely to see them, even from a distance! We then enjoying going to church virtually over the live stream. It's been so lovely to connect with people over the Youtube chat and do church together from home.

Then of course we had a scrummy roast lamb dinner for lunch, with a gin and tonic on the side. It was very tasty! We then spent the afternoon relaxing, soaking up some sunshine while reading good books. We then had another church service in the evening where we spent time praying for our world at this challenging time.       

We then had some homemade hot cross buns, which although looked great definitely needed some more time in the oven! James ate his but I opted for Sainsbury's... I might have another go this week!
