Remember Remember.

Happy 5th of November!

I think I'd go as far as saying that bonfire night is one of my favourite times of the year. I have lovely family memories of wrapping up warm and walking through the woods to the top of the hill to watch the fireworks from a distance, we could see the Brockham bonfire glow from where we were sitting.

Then when I moved to university in Winchester, we'd go to the yearly bonfire and fireworks display with the torch parade before hand. James and I also walked up to the top of St.Catherine's hill to watch the fireworks from a distance. At all of these times we were fit with our own little bag of toffee in our pockets to munch on through the evening.

This year we are going to spend the day with Tim and Natalie, pumpkin picking and carving, munching through bonfire cupcakes (more on them another day...) before heading on an evening walk  up the downs to see how many fireworks we can count- and yes, we each have a bag of toffee ready!

So far I'm loving Autumn, despite being poorly a couple of weeks ago I'm catching up on all the things I wanted to do before the season changes. I've worn cosy jumpers, had creamy hot chocolates, made apple cake and snuggled round a fire. I'm hoping to tick some more of my bucket list today! Here's some pictures we took last week when James, Hannah, Jonathan and I recorded and filmed some bits for our Christmas series this year and finished with a chilly walk through the woods.

Do you have any autumn or bonfire night traditions? What are you up to this year?

xx

P.S Thank you Jonathan for taking these photos for us!
