Heart full of Happy.

Sometimes plans are better when they are last minute. They can provide opportunities to stop everything that was supposed to happen and do something far more fun. Sometimes we need to step out of the rhythm of the ordinary and to go on an adventure.

James and I decided to do just this last week as we had another burst of beautiful weather, and we drove down to West Wittering beach with our pals Tim and Natalie. We arrived when most people were coming off the beach after they'd spent the majority of the day with hoards of people building sandcastles and getting burnt to crisps; it was perfect timing. We parked just up the road so we weren't restricted by the car park and set up camp for the evening.

Tim was the pro-bbq-cooker whilst of course Natalie and I worked hard to get those Instagram shots! We dipped our toes in the sea and buried them in the sand before cosying up next to the fire. The sunset was stunning and it was so peaceful to sit and ugly laugh with friends whilst watching the sun go down and the sea go out. 

After singing on full volume to Beauty and the Beast on the drive home heads got sleepy and eyes got tired. It was in these moments that my heart felt so full of happy.

Let's soak up the last of these summer evenings before it's time to welcome my favourite season... Autumn!
